We are a registered Charity and need enthusiastic people that want to see our Scout Group succeed. There are lots of opportunities available to make a difference in the organisation and assist the running of our Group.

There are lots of ways we need YOUR help...the survival of your local Scout Group is dependent on it!

Become a Leader

If you feel you would like to participate running our weekly meetings and impact the lives of 6 - 18 year olds then consider becoming a Scout Leader. We have different age groups on different days. Full training and support is provided.

To allow us to put on fantastic activities for young people in Whitstable there are costs and therefore we need people to actively help us boost our finances through fun events. You could join the Team that helps plan and run these...

What do Scouts do?

Scouts are do-ers and give-it-a-go-ers. Yes, we go camping, hiking, swimming, abseiling, cycling and canoeing. But we also get to hang out with our friends every week –  having fun, playing games, working in a team and taking on new challenges.

Every week 1st Whitstable Scouts want to give young people in the town of Whitstable the skills they need for school, college, university, the job interview, the important speech, the tricky challenge and the big dreams: the skills they need for life.

Everyone’s welcome here. All genders, races and backgrounds. Regardless of physical ability – there’s a Scout adventure out there waiting for you. And we’ll help you find it.

Helping youth discover their ‘thing’: from abseiling to coding to art & music and everything in between.
